Insight Types

IT Visibility is being upgraded with the introduction of Technology Intelligence Platform beginning in September 2024. Flexera will contact you directly regarding the timeframe of your upgrade. With Technology Intelligence Platform, out-of-the-box IT Visibility dashboards are being replaced with new, enhanced IT Visibility Technology Intelligence Platform reports. For more information, see IT Visibility With Technology Intelligence Platform Reports.

Your current custom and out-of-the-box dashboards will remain available for 6 weeks after your organization has been upgraded to Technology Intelligence Platform. During this time frame, you will be able to recreate your custom views in the new reporting capability. At the end of this time frame, access to all previous IT Visibility dashboarding capabilities will be removed.

In Data Explorer, you can visualize your data in many types of insights.

Each insight type has slightly different options and may enable you to display different types of data.

Common Characteristics​

  • In every insight, you can:
  • Display measures and attributes.

  • Filter each measure and attribute by attributes.

    • You can also click an attribute value in the insight legend to hide the value from the insight. This does not apply to Heatmaps.

  • Rename any measure or attribute. For more details, see Renaming Measures.

  • Change insight properties.

All insights display dates in the following format: MM/DD/YYYY.

When you switch from one insight type to another, the configuration of the insight may change. For example, when you switch from a column chart with three items in the Measures section and two items in the View by section to a pie chart, the pie chart displays only the list item in each section. When you switch back without changing anything, all the original items are displayed again.
